

Philipp von Randow is a partner in the Doha (Qatar) and Frankfurt (Germany) office of Latham & Watkins LLP, a prominent global law firm. Dr. von Randow practices in the Finance Department, focusing on the representation of banks and corporations on debt financings and out-of-court restructurings (loan workouts, bond restructurings; debt-equits swaps), as well as capital markets law. Furthermore, Philipp von Randow serves as advisor to the German Ministry of Justice on the planned modernization of German bondholder law.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Philipp von Randow headed the banking and restructuring practice in one of the largest independent law firms in Germany. He lectured on corporate, banking and finance law at the Universities of Osnabrück and Hamburg and is well known in the German banking community as a result of numerous publications on corporate finance topics. After completing his First State Exam in 1991, he served as a John M. Olin Visiting Scholar at Harvard University - Dept. of Law & Economics - for 18 months.
